--so how do you like living（这儿块读的特别快，特别连，特别听不懂） in the renovated（新的） dorms?
--there are not much different than the old dorms,just some new pane（窗格玻璃）(听着像pine，就顺手写下来了) and windows, the windows are nice sothey shut off noise really well。
the street’s just outside, but i can barely hear(压根就没听到这个词，无语！！) the traffic.
--um...they must be good windows, i bet they must have double panes and glass they shut off a lot of noise that the single pane wouldn't stop.
--yeah,i wish i had something just the factor between（白痴般的写成了beteewn） me and my neighbor's（写成了neighbour's，这个要好好注意！） room .sometimes he
turns up the music so loud that i have trouble getting into sleep.anywhy,i guess i am better off than the people who’ll be moving into the new dorms,
did you see how thin the walls are that they putting up between those rooms?
--i haven't seen them but i did read something about them in the campus newspaper,there supposed to be better than the thick concrete wall（水泥墙） you’ve got here.
--better,how?
--well,what they doing is separating each room with two thin layers（层） of plasterboards（石膏板） and each one is nailed to a different frame, that way they vibrate independently.
--oh,i see.so the sound from one room does't just vibrate（摇晃，震动） the wall and go directly into next room. there is a gap between two layers of wall.
--that’s right.
--well,i am still stuck with the neighbors and I am not sure what to do.
--you know heavy bear wall doesn't i help .you should hang something up like some fur rages（毛地毯） or some decorated cross. that would act like a kind of second wall
and absorb some sounds .i got some extras you can use if you like.
--i'd appreciate it. anything to get a good night sleep.

so they're not so hard to find.

--Yeah, i have already looked the list of classes and i hope to take business law and (internal)intro to finance this coming semester.
--That sounds good and it is always best plans the courses in your major first and then fit out the requirements on the electives（选修课） then.
--I like to take one other business course, but i am not sure which one.
--How about an economics course?
--I took one class this semester, I got a lot out of it(这种小词总是说得很快，听不清。。。

).
--Oh, that's right. Iremember you telling me about it. Well, let's see what else you need.
--I need another English course and was thinking about taking a poetry(portry 这个也是，从头错到尾。。。)class.

--Did you check the status  on the library’s computer?
--I tried, but I couldn't figure out what to do.
--Well, I can call it up right here. You wanted (Horking's )hakim's book, right? It looks likeit will be out for another six weeks.
--Oh, no! I realy need it for paper that due in two weeks. Is there anything you can do?
--Sure, we can try to get it from another library. Just (up )fill out the form and it should be here in three or five days, but it will costs two dollars.

--Well, I'm a little overwhelmed(忙), it’s strange I always want go to a big university like this, but now I'm here. I'm not sure...I mean the course is interesting enough, but...

--Sounds worthwhile(work well), but doesn't it take up a lot of studying time?
--Not really, you can study all the time you know. This is like a little break.
--I guess you could meet the professor whose course you might take later.
--Exactly. That’s what（'S) happened to me, I am taking this psychology(phycology) course with (P要大写)Professor Green. I didn't know how interesting psychology was, till I got to l talk to him in the mentor group.
--You talked to（into） him in the mentor group, is it too late to join?
--I don't think so, if I were you I go over to the dean’s（主任） office and sign up.
--I was going to the library to return the book, but I can do it later I guess.
