Should government spend more money on improving roads and high-ways, or should government spend more money on improving public transportation (buses, trains, subways)? Why? Use specific reasons and details to develop your essay.

As China continues along the road of economic development, new demands are put on more roads and high-ways of high quality. This is particularly evident in areas needing more trades with outsides. Moreover, more roads and high-ways are necessary for people to travel and deal with business issues. Also, it is no doubt that current public transportation has already satisfied people’s need.

First and foremost, nowadays, improving roads and high-ways is urgent to numerous areas where local products can’t reach to outside markets because of lacking of roads and high-ways. This has become a roadblock of the whole national economic development. For instance, every year, farmlands in my hometown generate considerable tasty grapes. But, without any ordinary road or high-way extending to other cities, the grapes can’t be transported to big markets and a large proportion of them are leaved to rotten. The phenomenon in my hometown is not occasional but occurred in almost every county in China especially in mountainous areas. Imagine that hundreds of thousands of farmers plough fields year by year only for spoiled vegetables! Obviously the lacking of roads and high-ways keeps down the whole nation’s economic prosperity.

Additionally, with rapid economic development and increasing communication between people in different districts, people required more roads and high-ways of high quality to travel and do business. Take current business for example. It is common that the materials or products must be delivered under deadlines from one area to another which demands superior roads or highways linked the two areas. If there is not, unevaluated losses might come into being. Moreover, people are thirsty for traveling scenic spots as many as possible during their limited holiday to relax themselves from great stressed work which would also be realized only with outstanding road and highway system.

The last but not the least, current public transportation in China has already met the actual demand, that is to say, it doesn’t need as much money as roads and high-ways, at least in a comparative period. That can be easily concluded by the convenient buses, trains, subways which carry people from one site to another in a acceptable time. Thereby, given the reasons discussion above, the government should spend more money on improving roads and high-ways.

Is money the most important aspect of a job?

It is no doubt that without money, people would not survive in such a vying society. Some people believe that money is the most important aspect of a job, some even equate money with success: the more you earn, the more you are successful. However, as far as I’m concerned, the financial aspect is not the significant aspect of a job. The personal fulfillment from one’s occupation, the camaraderie with other colleagues and the mental health gained from the balanced professional and personal lives are much more important.

Firstly, people require the felling of achievement derived from work to confirm their values in this competitive society. Submerged in the ocean of furious competition, people would loss confident inevitably sometimes, which is a roadblock for their future development. Fortunately, the felling of achievement gained from the applause and awards from one’s co-workers and boss when he performs excellent in his work is an effective compensator for his lost confidence. However, money can’t substitute the personal fulfillment from one’s occupation. For example, a man with considerable money inherited from his farther wouldn’t be very confident in his life while he has no job.

Moreover, the admirable camaraderie with other colleagues is also a more significant aspect of a job. Nowadays, almost every task is so difficult to achieve that it demands the members’ cooperation with each other. If one only owns money and not the camaraderie with other members, he would not be able to get help from his colleagues. Then how can he accomplish the complex task by himself? How can he hold out his wealthy situation? Therefore, it can be concluded that camaraderie is the potential wealth for us.

The last but not the least, people need to balance professional and personal life in order to keep healthy. One who hasn’t wonderful personal life would be prone to fell frustrated while one hasn’t splendid professional life is very likely to had no confident to survive. The two extreme situations endanger people’s metal health. This can be easily testified by the suicides of famous movie stars and failed businessmen.

In conclusion, money is not the most important aspect of a job. Instead, the three aspects discussed above are more significant.
