Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city.
Which do you prefer?

With the development of the cities of a country, some people prefer to live in a small town because they think the big cities are too crowd for them to concentrate. However another group of people deem that to live in a big city is helpful to their careers. From my point of view, there are considerable advantages to live in a big city.

In a big city, the traffic is more efficient than that in a small town. Such as subways, which people can take to their homes and companies without the traffic jams. Also, there must be an airport in a big city. We can go everywhere on the world wide within a few hours by airplanes. In additional, the city buses can take people go to any places that they want to go.

With the achievement of high-technology, we can purchase many high-technology products in a big city. For example, one of my best friends purchased a SONY MP3 and she told me that the sound effect of it is perfect. Also we can buy the newest style of cell phones with MP4 players, Bluetooth, dictionaries, cameras, games and even anti-virus software that would never be found in a small town.

Additionally, there are a lot of companies in a big city so that people could get more opportunities in their careers. In big companies people could set up friendship with their co-workers. People who live in a big city and work in big companies could obtain more knowledge than who live in a small town. Also, people who work in a big companies can learn and understand the significance and benefits of cooperation.

Although there are many advantages to live in a big city, people should never ignore the disadvantages that big cities bring along. My brother, who lives in a big city, told me that he could never focus on his work because there are always many activities. Once when I was a little boy, one of my classmates got a traffic accident on the street in a big city.

In conclusion, I believe although live in a big city may do some harm to people’s life to some degree, the benefits a big city brings us are more significant for people to get a happier life. We should avoid the advantages of live in a big city, and enjoy the benefits a big city brings us and get a more fascinating and colorful life.
