SAT語法的問題!!!
Question 1:Susan and peter were inspired to become a professional writer after hearing a famous journalist speak about the challenges of investigative reporting.
The answer on the OG show that this sentence has only one mistake which is change "a professional writer" to professional writers".
But I have a question why don't have to change "speak" to be past tense ?
Q2.contrasting with most other fifteenth-century rulers, Portuguese kings could count on the support of the aristocracy in any overseas ventures.
why is "contrasting with" wrong in this sentence?

第一道题 After hearing sb do sth.....
第二题因为是过去时 所以要加ed 可以从could看出来

是么。。。
我怎么感觉 第二个不是ed 是with 改to吧~~~contrast to & compare with固定搭配
用ed表示被动，，，后面主语是人 发出比较的动作 所以应该是ing对的
改动Contrast to……

插一句，第一题你想问的问题我明白，就是当人称和动词（假设抛开上题，动词归主语管）同时可改的情况下为何选择人称而不选择动词，是吗？那么前提是在题干主谓一致的条件下。两个人只能对-ers。

第一题一般是看到两个人变一个人就很爽的选出来，我一般不注意后面，呵呵
第二题是逻辑主语主被动关系，后面主语是P，但他是被用来对比的，所以用被动，不是过去时
