第一次写的 写了很长时间 请大家多多指教 进来的都说两句 谢谢啦！！！！

Does history have any value for people living in the present?
   Some people say that learning about the past has no value for those of us living in the present.However, I agree with the quotation that history is the guide to navigation in perilous times and not absolutely valueless.Many famous politicians and strategists learned much from history and not learning history will get you nowhere at all.
    First,we can take lessons from history. Through learning history,we can obtain the knowledge of a specific event,including the background,the direct causation,what happened,the result and most importantly,what we should learn from history.We take the case of Great Depression in the 1930’s.After learning what happened in those years either by reading books or by going to museums,it is clear that many western countrise were in recession and America did not escape from this global economic downturn.But what turned the recession into the Great depression in America?It was the Fed monetary policy according to many scholars.If Fed made the opposite decision, the Great Depression would not be in history books .For people living today,we should take lessons from this former failure.Policy-makers today should think twice before making policy,not being misled by the data and be aware of what is going on in the country and in the world.
     Second,history helps us have a better understanding of change.The world where we live now is not doomed to be like this,it has changed from primitive society to modern society which takes several thousands of years.We always want to know the effect that a change in the society ---whether the up and down of the stock prices or the war in Iraq---has on our lives.We have to look for the impact of previous changes in history and then we could predict what might happen in future. If people do not learn history,they will have no idea of how the industrial revolution influenced  people’s lives,how the faminism changed women’s place in society,how TV  started a page of human history and so forth.They cannot understand chang well and not be aware that changing is around us.Only through learning history can we know how things changed;Only through learning history can we know what caused the change and only through learning history can we predict the effect of a change.
     In conclusion,hisroty is valuable for people living in the present.History should be a mandatory subject for any person for history makes people make fewer mistakes and be aware that our world is always changing.

我可实话实说了，你的文章写得有点罗嗦。你那个美国经济大衰退的例子用的不当。经济危机也主要是由生产过剩引起的，这是资本主义发展到一定时期的必然产物。一个政策只是一个导火索。你的文章总觉得有点绕口，其实没必要用一些G或者T中的难单词。
