Some people consider that acting adult makes adults; some believe graduation from school makes adults; others even suggest marriage. In my opinion, having the first job is a milestone in one’s whole life that represents his or her maturity. [/font]

[font=Calibri]The ability of independent thinking and acting are representing the transformation from kids to adults. In a real job, one might encounter problems which never thought in campus and could no longer rely on the helps from teachers and schoolmates. Solving these problems call for not just professional skills, but also individual competences, such as courage to criticize supervisor, patience to deal with boring works, and even compromise the reluctant assignments. All these, cannot be taught in university but formed in the working process by oneself. [/font]

[font=Calibri]Sense of responsibility cultivated in a real job is also a significant distinction between kids and adults. Since the first job, one would start the journey of learning to take responsibility for one' entire life. For instance, in a position of manager, no matter how old you are, you have to act as a leader. What is more, rather than those innocent old kids who have never worked, an indeed young but experienced person would act in a proper manner just as an adult.[/font]

[font=Calibri]Besides, with the money earned from work, one could buy thing for living, learning and taking care of oneself. In another word, one indeed has financial independent. Supported by families, most of students need not to worry about economic issues. But no one wants to be the parasites of the family for whole life. Thus, financial support provided by a job is one of the factors of being adult.[/font]

[font=Calibri]However, I believe that being an adult is an attitude. After one has been recruited, the door adults’ world opens. Whether step in or back out depends on the willingness to being independent and responsible. It is undeniable that people refuse to change might not achieve the transformation.[/font]
