Question: Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Reading fiction (such as novels and short stories) is more enjoyable than watching movies. Use specific reasons and examples to explain your position. (290 words)
There are some people who think reading fiction is better, others prefer to watching movies .But I would have to say that, if I were faced with this issue, I would probably follow fiction . In the following discussion, I would like to reason and provide evidence to support my viewpoint.
No issue is more important now than the one that refers to great enjoyment and pleasure .According to a lastest report by reseachers, 80% people are also fond of reading fiction than watching movies because they gain happiness from the world of reading fiction . From this ,there is no denying that/it demonstrate that reading fiction is more enjoyable than watching movies.
Enough imagining space is another head and chief reason that I have chosen to put here. It is no better illustration that can demonstrate the view. Movies impress audience only through a single way by director just as someone draw a circle in our mind that limit the thought . If you can see that, you can understand it more deeply. But that doesn’t mean people do not go to movie theaters as long as they have their shelves stacked with Charles Dickens’ or Dostoevskies.
Superior as reading fiction is, however, reading fiction or watching movies also has own demerits, too.Fiction can not give readers the shake in the aspect of visual sense and movies can not in imagination . Nevertheless, the disadvantage of reading fiction do not have effect on readers' reading fiction ,only taking " HARRY POTTER " for example ,the increased value place on this idea helps to esplain this phenomenon ,so the most striking conclusion is obvious.
By and large ,due to the above mentioned reasons , which sometimes correlate to each other to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive than any single one of them , we can safely reach the conclusion that reading fiction is more enjoyable than watching movies
