According to some experts, some unrenewable energy may be used up in the near future. So it is high time for government to take effective measures to conserve energy. However, in my opinion, there are a lot of ways for government to reduce energy consumption. Increasing the price of gasoline and electricity is not the only way for government to fulfill this goal.[/font]

[font=Times New Roman]Of course, it is always an effective way to encourage the energy conservation through raising price of gasoline and electricity. High cost of energy will promote people to be aware of their behavior, thereby helping to save large quantity of energy. For instance, if the price of gasoline increases, people may choose to ride bike to work rather than drive private car which is reported to be the major source of oil consumption. Hence more energy will be conserved due to decreasing amount of car using.[/font]

[font=Times New Roman]Besides, government may resort to large amount of publications calling on people to be aware of saving energy. Making public realize the serious condition of limited energy will greatly stimulate people to care about the activities of saving energy. Some cities have posted lots of signs to clearly remind people of the limited storage of fossil resources, as a result that more and more people begin to use energy-saving products.[/font]

[font=Times New Roman]Moreover, government can also preserve energy by encouraging people to use new resources of energy replacing of fossil energy. Government can pass some laws aiming at rewarding the public to invent and use renewable energy, such as solar energy and wind energy, through which can greatly reduce the amount of fossil energy consumed every year and preserve the fossil energy which is very limited on the earth.[/font]

[font=Times New Roman]In conclusion, there are multiple ways for government to encourage the energy conservation. Raising the price of gasoline and electricity is a way but not only way to chase the goal of energy conservation. And I believe that good willingness, combining with the excellent ability, owned by the government can help us get rid of the energy crisis. [/font]
