初来小马，发一篇拙作，诚恳求拍

[size=14pt][font=Times New Roman]It looks like that progress is absolutely good. Why not? Human now can go everywhere in world, even in space. We watch TV, use computer and talk to somebody in any place through telephone if we want. But, is progress really always good? I cast a doubt on this statement. The wonderful things are just part of the reality. Some negative respects need us to focus on. I will address my opinion in following paragraphs. [/font][/size]

Why does the water in pool get dirty? Why can’t we see the blue sky in big cities? Why is our environment turning worse? The development of industry has brought so much pollution to nature while brought us lots of unbelievable convenience. For instance, in nowadays when we want to go somewhere we can drive car, take bus, train, or plane. The list will go on. Think about this, the population on earth is 6 billion. How many cars do we need? The exhaust gas discharged from kinds of machines is the primary cause of global warming. The progress in industry has seriously damaged earth.[/font][/size]

Not only environment problems have progress created, but also social problems. As progress in economy and culture in human society is highly developed, many social problems come up. People tend to pursue more wealth and power. Thus the competition among human being is growing fierce. This is very apparent because we can hear news about suicide frequently. And the gap between poor and rich is turning bigger. Some rich people can spend tens of thousand dollars on a meal while lots of poor people die of hunger everyday.[/font][/size]

The last but not the least, many powerful weapons are created because of the science progress. Such as atom bomb, it can even destroy a city a least. Supposed these weapons are used in a war, perhaps it will be the end of the world.[/font][/size]

Admittedly, progress in industry, society and science bring human beings huge advantage. We can now enjoy a lot of convenience which did not exist in past times. We have hospitals that can protect ourselves from
kinds of diseases, cinemas where we enjoy wonderful movies, universities where we receive well education.[/font][/size]

But we can’t always glorify the progress and neglect some awful truce caused by it. We should pay much attention on negative effects made by progress. So, as I said, progress is not always good.[/font][/size]

老生常谈，so, but都不能放在句首，如果放在句首，前面必须是一个逗号
如果要放句首，换成相应的单词: therefore, however
学术写作当中，不允许出现缩写，比如can't, 要写成cannot, 或者 can not
你写文章，思路清晰，但是语言比较迂回，直接提出观点来，然后跟着是原因，这样更好，不要太多的设问
自问自答会让老外晕掉
