When we glance at the top 500 corporations' CEOs, it is easy to find a curious phenomenon: most of the CEOs are men .As for the special situation, "should the government encourage a certain percentage of these jobs reserved for women" turns out to be in the spotlight. For me, I, as a woman, strongly sing highly praise of the proposal.
Are women really less capable than men in all these fields? Certainly not. Nevertheless, gender discrimination exerts a formidable influence in every side of our life. Thereby, it is the government that should take effective and efficient measures to eliminate it. Among the many measures, preserved jobs prove to be a foremost method. Such social inequality derives from history. Women long live in a world where men dominate our whole life. What's worse, they are the heroes of the world while women are the byproducts. A vivid illustration shows in a movie called "Ju zi hong le". The movie profoundly discloses how the woman is fettered by her husband without a slim hope to chase her own happiness, let alone her job, which is forbid in ancient China. Although time changes, whether women should be allowed to have a decent job still remains a question. In a modern world, the inequality still exists. When a man and a woman with the same capability apply for the same position, the employee still tends to choose the male candidate .In other cases, a statistic released by Tsinghua University demonstrates that women who do the same job as men do are usually paid less . Only if the government reserves the jobs for women can women have a chance to choose their own life rather than hinging their happiness on others. To sum up, reserved jobs prove to be a crucial step to further the progress of social equality and democracy.
Moreover, woman should have a chance to prove her ability which is beneficial for the further development of the society. With a equal position, woman can completely apply what she learns to practice and it surely will prompt the interests of the company, to a further extend ,to the increasing GDP in a country. Another beneficiary is that the promotion of women will lead to the self-improvement of men in that more and more competitors will apply for one position resulting in the fierce competition. As Darwin says, "by natural selection, only the fittest survives. "Consequently, there is no choice for men but to strengthen their own ability. Eventually, the last winner of the game is the social economy.
From above the discussion, we may safely arrive at the conclusion that reserved job can indeed make a great difference in social equality and in the economic thrive of the community.
