These first samples are [b][color=red]orthoclases[/color][/b], notice that they vary in color from white to [b][color=red]pink[/color][/b] to red. This [b][color=red]glassy[/color][/b] one is found in [color=red]volcanic rock[/color]—in fact, I found it in New Mexico on a collection trip.[/size][/font]

The [color=red]term[/color] “fossil fuel” [color=red]refers to the [b]trapped[/b] remain of [/color]plants and animals in [b][color=red]sedimentary[/color][/b] rock. You see, living plants trap energy from sun, [color=red]by[/color][color=red]process of [b]photosynthesis[/b] [/color]and they store the energy in the [color=red]chemical[/color] compounds. Most of that energy is released when the plant dies and [color=red]decays[/color]. However, sometimes [color=red]organic matter buried[/color] before it decays completely.
