In our lab today,we'll be testing the hypothesis假说,假设 that babied can count as early as 5 months of age.The 6 babies here are all less than 6 months old. You'll be watching them on closed-circuit TV and measuring their responses.

The experiment is based on the well established observation that babies stare longer if they don't see what they expect to see.First,we're going to let 2 dolls刚开始没听出来是doll,后来往后听才反应过来。。 move shlowly in front of the babies. The babies will see the 2 dolls disappear behind the a screen.Your job is to record,in seconds, how long the babies stare at the dolls when the screen is removed.IIYM)[(i

In the next stage.2dolls will again move in front of the babies and disappear. But then a third doll will follow. When the screen is removed, the babies will only see 2 dolls. If we're right, the babies will now stare longer because they expect 3 dolls but only see two.

It seems remarkable to think that such young children can count. My own research has convinced me that they have this ability from birth. But whether they do ro not perhaps we should raise another question, should we take advantage of this ability by teaching children mathematics at such a young age? They have great untapped未开发的,为利用的 potential but is it good for parents to pressure young children.

Do you have troubles sleeping at night? Then mabey this is for you. When you worry about needing sleep and toss and turn翻来覆去的 trying to find a comfortable position, you're probably only making matters worse. What happens when you do that,is that your heart rate actually increases, making it more difficult to relax.

You may also have some bad habbits that contribute to ths problem.Do you rest frequently during the day?Do you get virtually no exercie?or do you exercise strenuously紧张的,强烈的,繁重的 late in the day?Are you preoccupied被抢先战局的,全神贯注的 with sleep or do you sleep late on weekends?Any or all of these factors might be leading to your insomnia by disrupting使崩裂,破坏 your body's natural rhythm.
