[font=Arial][size=3][color=blue]When it refers to the question whether it is reasonable for every child to learn the subjects such as art, music and drama, before they go to school, rendering my opinion, we had better to take a glance at the arguments on both sides. Many people who support this opinion may think that the knowledge of the arts can be benefit to the children’s integrated personality and all-around development; while some others, on the other hand, might think that not every single kid is interested in the music and drama. The choice, nevertheless, is not easy to make. However, I shall agree that the later one is more reasonable. In the following discuss, I will reason and provide evidence to illuminate my viewpoint.
No issue is more important than this one that we should give our respect to every one even though he/she is only a litter child. Facts witness and present many examples proving that without any interest and talent in the certain subject the learner can hardly enjoy the process of studying and therefore cannot make an outstanding achievement in that field. Take the celebrated football star Beckham’s story as an instance, Beckham is keen in playing football from childhood while his conservative parents insist him to follow the normal developing path which is to study hard in school and try to be enrolled by the top universities. However, to his parents’ disappointment, Beckham had no interest and potential to be an excellent student in academic instead he gently showed his extraordinary talent on the soccer field where he thought himself really belongs to .The outcome, as being universally recognized, Beckham become one of the most successful player. Let’s imagine if Beckham was forced to study everyday and regulated strictly, would there be such a somebody in the football field? The answer is obviously not.
In addition, since the learning process of the art subjects are usually sorts of time-consuming once the children were send to the courses they would be not able to spare time to the other meaningful activities such as sports exercises, playing games with his/her little peers and so forth. In this case, virtually, the young children have to pay more cost including not only the money and leisure time but also his/her precious opportunities to contact with the surroundings.
However, it is also necessary to see that under certain circumstances to let the children to learn some knowledge of art is of great benefit. Arts can bring us perception enjoyment and the education of art even some common sense can promote the children's appreciation ability. Take the music as an good example, the classical compositions like works from Beethoven and Chopin are invariably regarded as the priceless heritages in our human beings culture. Without any basic understanding of the symphony and composers' background how the audience can fully comprehend the sound outside the eras is beyond me.
With all these factors mentioned above contemplated, we can come to the conclusion that the advantages of leaving the children freedom to choose their favorite hobby carry more weight than those of making the arts as a required course.
