Never in Chinese history has the teamwork been more crucial than modern society does. With rapidly development of science and technology, Mr. “Known it all” is not appropriate in this era and people have to constitute groups to face more serious straits. Hence in some universities and colleges, students have some chances to attend group works. Many people think members of a group should be graded a same level, but in my view, identical mark can evaluate the students only in some limited extent.
Firstly, it is true that each member can get a coordinate respect when they do their own work indispensably in a group. We may cite a common example of soccer game. Each one takes a different position in a game, and we can not conclude that the forwards who take charge of scores are more vital than the goalkeeper defending rival attacks, though the forwards do attract more attention from audience. Also, although instruments are different ,musicians play the identically important role in a orchestra which bring audience amazing rhythm.
However, in more cases, identical grade is not compatible in the groups which have a team leader. Compared with other members, leaders should have charming personality to motivate their teammates and make more efforts to ensure every factor is perfect. Maybe they are not the best one in every aspect, but the only one who can arrange the work and lead the team ahead. Therefore the statue of leaders should not be equal to other teammates and the score for them should be higher.
In addition, if the grade is identical, some members will take a free ride, which have a bad influence on harmony of the groups. Every one may have tendency to rely on others' hard work instead of own diligence. History is filled with this sort of examples, such as erosion of Roman Empire... To avoid laziness permeated in the group, distinguishing people depended on their efficiency is a reasonable mechanic to evaluate their performance.
Taking into account all these factors, we may draw that same grade is not fair in mostly cases. People should account on efficiency, position, and some other factors to assess members' performance.
